How this works
Each year of your life activates one of the twelve houses of your birth chart, cycling in order and repeating every twelve years, house 1 at birth, house 2 the following year, and so on. The sign on that activated house has a planetary ruler, and that planet becomes your time lord for the year, a kind of guide whose condition and placement color the themes you're likely to encounter.
